जयशंकर ने रविवार को कहा कि कुछ राजनीतिक कारणों से हमें इजराइल के साथ संबंध बढ़ाने से खुद को प्रतिबंधित करना पड़ा था। पीएम मोदी पहले भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री थे जो इजराइल गए थे। अब वे समय चला गया है जब हम वोट बैंक की राजनीति के लिए राष्ट्रीय हित को अलग रखते थे। जयशंकर अपनी पुस्तक ‘द इंडिया वे: स्ट्रैटेजीज फॉर एन अनसर्टेन वर्ल्ड’ के गुजराती अनुवाद का विमोचन करते हुए भारत की विदेश नीति पर बोल रहे थे।
